Harper Cocktail Party

Our friends Nicole and Richard hosted a cocktail party this past weekend.  It was out first cocktail party and we were excited!  We got a babysitter and went and enjoyed ourselves!  I knew a lot of the people, and Joe met a lot of new people.  We had great food, drinks and conversation!

We can't wait for next year!

Lexi's New Haircut

Lexi's hair was getting long again and we finally talked her into getting it cut.  Joe and I usually do it, but we don't do a very good job!  She said she wanted it cut short like Mommy's.  I took her to Kiddie Kutters and she loved paying while we waited.  When it was her turn, they didn't have any regular chairs available, so she got to sit in a racecar.  She barely fit!

Long hair...

See all that hair sitting in her lap?  Getting shorter...

We have a smile!

She didn't like the blow dryer.

Looking in the mirror...

Feeling how short it is and loving it!

This is the first time she has ever had a professional cut her hair!

Christmas Tree Decorating

We always get a real tree for Christmas.  I just LOVE the smell!  We decided to go out in 20 degree weather to get a tree.  It was cold, but luckily we found the perfect tree in just a few minutes.  It is skinny and petite.  Not like the fat, tall trees we usually get!  It was so nice and easy decorating it.  Lexi helped Daddy with the lights and then we all put on the ornaments.

Almost done!

I swear Chris looks just like my brother Kyle in this picture!

This next picture was taken a few days after we put up the tree and is hilarious!  Chris has on his Santa hat, Scooby-Doo underwear, socks on his hands like mittens and Daddy's boots.  So cute!

Thanksgiving 09

I have A LOT of catching up to do!  We had a wonderful Thanksgiving at our house with family and friends.  We ate, drank, talked and played a little Zilch.  The kids played upstairs and kept busy after a great meal while the adults played downstairs.  Luckily, there were no cooking disasters this year!  We always have one thing go wrong, but I think we finally got it right!

Another one...

Richard took this awful picture of me eating biscotti!  It is the only picture I have of myself though...

The Beautiful Little Miss Ellie!

Nicole and Ellie

We did't get a picture of the other 3 kids!  Ellie wasn't feeling good, so the Harper's left early.  We were sitting on the couch at 7:30 ready for bed!  It was great!
